About the Hawks

One day, I [Kirin] was driving on a country road and asked for a sign about getting through a significant work-related challenge. Within just a few seconds, a Harris’s hawk took off from the side of the road and flew across the road about twenty feet in front of and above my car. As I slowed down to take in the moment, a second hawk took off, following the same path.

A week later, Charlie and I were driving on a city street near our home. A hawk flew low across the road and gently tapped our car with one of its wings.

And a week later, Charlie and I took a nature walk at sunrise and happened upon a large gathering of hawks that put on a low-flying aerobatic show within thirty feet of where we stood in awe.

Hawks are a source of inspiration for both of us as well as a reassuring omen that all is well.
