About Kirin
Kirin Alolkoy (formerly Kira Freed), MA, BCC, LPC, is a Board Certified Coach, Certified Purpose Clarity Coach, Certified Wellness Coach, Licensed Professional Counselor (inactive), and freelance writer. She has earned master’s degrees in integral counseling psychology and anthropology as well as certificates in nonfiction writing and equity and diversity. She also has advanced (Level 3) training in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of psychotherapy. Kirin’s human development work, a blend of professional coaching and IFS, is grounded in the understanding that all our parts, or aspects, have wisdom and positive intent that can be harnessed in service of our highest vision for our life.
Kirin is also a prolific writer for educational publishers, having written more than 300 nonfiction K–6 books and hundreds of reading passages. The books and passages, which are used to teach elementary students to read, explore high-interest topics at graduated levels of complexity.

About Charlie
Charlie Alolkoy holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and has been a full-time artist for over thirty years. Since he first wandered into an artist’s studio at the age of five, he has always wanted to be an artist and is thrilled to have fulfilled that lifelong dream. He is a nature photographer, master digital sculptor, illustrator, and animator. His art is influenced by his Native American heritage; his ancestors lived on the Channel Islands, which are depicted in the stories Island of the Blue Dolphins and The Rainbow Bridge.
